How monetization works

We serve audio and display ads to listeners, and offer a subscription to opt-out from ads and enable offline downloads. You get a percentage cut from every time an ad is served through your podcasts, or a podU Plus user listens to one of your episodes. The cut percentage depends on whether your podcast is exclusive or not

Exclusives

Podcasts that are available in their audio form only on podU. They take a 50% cut of the revenue we accrue to them

Non-exclusives

Podcasts that are available in their audio form on podU as well as other podcast apps and platforms. They take a 30% cut of the revenue we accrue to them

Frequently Asked Questions

No, you can monetize right away from the first episode as soon as an ad is served through your podcasts, or a podU Plus listener plays on of your episodes. However, we deactivate podcasts that have less than 8 episodes in total, and have been inactive for a while

No, you can create your content from any place in the world and upload it to the dashboard. However, you will need a bank account inside Egypt to which we will transfer your earnings when you withdraw them
